The HHS Gala provided a fabulous opportunity to speak with Premier Kathleen Wynne about the epdemic of diabetes and its complications, specifically, diabetic foot disease and the very limited resources the Ministry of Health has allocated towards the treatment of the diabetic foot and limb preservation teams. Premier Wynne was very enthusiastic with the ideas exchanged and accepted my invitation to visit The Mayer Institute to see a Diabetic Foot and Wound centre in action.
